VanVleet is a restricted free agent and the Raptors would have the right to match any offer he gets but locking up the 24-year-old for a two-year term dovetails perfectly with what team president Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster have put in place with the roster.

Raptors to re-sign point guard Fred VanVleet with two-year, $18 million contract
